Smash totems in Titan Brawl

Titan Brawl is a free mobile MOBA -- that's a multi-player online battle arena for those of you new to the genre. Popular on PC -- think League of Legends or DOTA 2 -- the genre is also finding a home on mobile. Titles like this one combine the strategic fun of MOBA gameplay with the simplicity of a mobile app. In this game, you choose a squad of characters to battle enemy champions and destroy your ultimate objective, the enemy totem.

Slimming down for mobile play

If you're used to PC MOBA play, you'll see that Titan Brawl has a much simpler interface to fit the smaller mobile screen. The battlefield is divided into just two lanes, and the tap controls strike a good balance between simplicity and giving you control over your champions' actions. Battles are also very short -- just three minutes -- which makes this an enjoyable game to play in the gaps between doing other things. The champions are fun and characterful, with interestingly different abilities and attacks. Like other free-to-play mobile games, this one does feature some in-app purchases, which can feel intrusive but are very much what you'd expect from the genre.

MOBA made simple

With its varied champions, quick online matches and simplified gameplay, Titan Brawl is a great mobile translation of MOBA action. Individual matches are brief, but you might be spending a lot of time on this addictive game.
